About Us Who we are ?
HealthPlus FRK was established in 2021. We at HealthPlus, work with the government of India. We observed that 90% of the rice sold by the whole rice sellers to the common public is not nutritious and is made of mixed components. However, in 2020, our government said to mix 1% of high-quality rice that contains nutrients like Vitamin C, Folic Acid, Vitamin B12, and Iron.
We at HealthPlus FRK (Food Rice Kernel) - A product of AMA IMPEX a leading food processing government-based industry based in Jalandhar, Punjab. We work under the state and Government of India with an objective to provide freshly earth-grown rice prepared via fortification. The product is of supreme quality and we thrive hard to deliver this nutrition-rich rice under PDS and rice distribution programs across the nation
What is Rice Fortification? What we do?
Fortification is the practice of deliberately increasing the content of one or more micronutrients (i.e, vitamins and minerals) in a food or condiment to improve the nutritional quality of the food supply and provide a public health benefit with minimal risk to health.
So, Fortified Rich Kernels are rich in Vitamin B6, B12, Iron, Zinc, and Magnesium, eating such nutrient-rice will fulfill your micronutrient diet, and provide your body with essential nutrients and vitamins essential for the overall development of your body.
Importance of food fortification in India?
Well, food fortification has made a huge impact in the current nutrient-deficient countries like ours. The government is working day and night to reach fortified rice in 112 districts through two schemes: Integrated Child Development Services and Mid-Day Meal.
The government has recently approved a budget of Rs. 174.6 crores for a threeyear period starting from 2019-20 onwards and now this supply is expected to rise from 15, 000 tonnes to 1.3 lakh tonnes. HealthPlus FRK is among those organizations working with the government to make their dream come true.
How HealthPlus works? how we do what we do?
HealthPlus FRK processes premium quality rice, naturally produced food items prepared via the fortification process, and working hard to reach nutrient-rich rice to common people under PDS (Public Distribution Scheme). We aim to cover a huge mass and make our country the healthiest in the world.
We at HealthPlus take broken rice from wholesale rice sellers to make it fortified rice. By fortified rice, we mean, we convert the broken rice into rice flour, mix 1% of premium rice and make artificial rice or polished rice with the help of our machinery.
Now, that the product is ready, we send the produced rice item to our government through tenders or wholesale rice millers. The entire rice is then sent to rice millers and these rice millers mix our prepared artificial rice in a 1% composition with their already produced rice. The final product is sent to people of India.
We are committed to providing freshly prepared natural rice through the fortification process by maintaining premium quality as per FISSAI standards (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India).

We see our government has made it mandatory to add 1% premium quality in the already produced rice and top brands like Dawat, Pansari, and India Gate have already started implementing the GOI’s orders. Government says to continue this process in every stock these organizations send to people overall India.
If this happens all over India, our country will lead a nutrition life in the coming 4-5 years, our country will see a few changes in terms of nutrition and in the coming 10 years, children under 10 years of age will be properly nutirioned.
Now that we see many large brands have started implementing FRK processing in their food products, like we see from wheat flour, oil to slat are being sold as fortified products to customers, now it is happening with rice.
We participate in all government tenders as an NPO (Non-profit organization). Currently, we are showcasing our products through vidoes, proposals, or organizing “lungars” with fortified food to make people aware of the importance of nutrition food; this is how we are working continuously towards making India a nutritioned country.
Our Future
We initiated our organization in the year 2020 and fully established in 2021 and have supplied 5, 000 metric tonnes of fortified rice to our government so far.
We believe that HealthPlus FRK has a bright future because India has the capacity to produce 13.67 lakhs tonnes of fortified rice kernels and it has raised to 60, 000 tonnes from 7, 250 tonnes within two years working with the government and reaching the bottleneck capacity as we expect currently will be a great future for all of us.
We aim to reach our premium quality products to people countrywide. Under the PDS distribution program, our objective is to cover remote-based people. As we believe if malnutrition is an issue for remote-based people, fortified products are the only solution to combat nutrition deficiency in India.
